I packed my bags and I moved to a new country.
I had two weeks booked at my friend’s house, two suitcases and no plan.
I needed to focus on ME, finding my tribe and my own self-care.
When I got to Malaga, I half knew I wasn’t coming home. I knew I wanted to move out of the UK but I wasn’t sure where to.
I had no idea what I was letting myself in for.
I didn’t realise at the time HOW MUCH I NEEDED a change of scenery.
I was burned out, stressed, overwhelmed and generally very poorly.
I found the friends, lifestyle and weather I needed so badly.
Over the summer, I found my groove and chilled the fuck out!! It’s not easy, especially for people like me who LOVE creating and building things.
Here’s what I learnt…
Your environment has a bigger impact on your that you realise.
Your offline tribe will accelerate your thinking and progress more than your online tribe.
Silence and solitude is required to develop your own theories, thinking and sense of self.
If you get the opportunity to shake up your life as much as I did, TAKE IT.
Even if it’s just a weekend away from your normal environment, with people you want to be around and spend some of that time alone.
Hey, if you’re reading this then you’re in my gang so come and visit me in Malaga. 320 days of sunshine to banish those winter blues… just saying.
A few months later and I’m ready to go again on another business adventure. In fact, it’s already begun.
I’ll be taking you all with me.
We’re all going up together.
